March 29th, 2013. Bathroom Design, Japanese Bathroom Design: Traditional Touch In Modern Lifestyle.
I fall in love with this Japanese bathroom design. It is very soothing just by looking at this design. This room apply earth theme with natural material such as green grass, wood, and natural stone. The bathroom has large size with green decoration at one side and wood on the other side. Green décor is filled with green grass and some young bamboo trees. The natural light comes n from the aslant glass ceiling give bright ambiance to the room. Wooden material is dominated the room. Wooden plank is use for the flooring and small stair. Darker floating wooden shelf is used for white round sink. Very high mirror reflecting great light in the room is placed at the back of the sink. Bathing in such an environment can bring peaceful mind to a hectic life.
Basically Japanese design is rich with the use of natural element. Wood is the utmost important element that has to be in every Japanese design. It shows that the Japanese culture is highly respected the nature and use it as a part of daily life. Moreover, the use of wood and other natural element gives fresh and tranquil feelings. This is important to relieve stress after a hectic daily life.
The application of Japanese design to modern life is not hard. Just need to give a big creativity in it. Although wood usually is the vocal point of Japanese design, that does not mean that other element can not take part. This simple bathroom is dominated with stone theme. Even triangle shaped big stone is place next to the white bath tub. A touch of wood is given by a stool from teak. This is very applicable in the modern life with small bathroom.
Sakura is identical with Japanese national flower. The use Sakura tree images on the stained glass is stand out from this room. The window that opens on the side of the room directly pointed on the Sakura. A bamboo bathtub is also place below the Sakura stained glass, which make the bathing routine more relaxing. Bamboo cabinetry next to the bath tub decorated with bonsai on the top make a bold statement about how Japanese influence this room. This is really a modern bathroom with the essence of Japanese design.Simple Master Bathroom In New York Loft With Strong Japanese Overtones
