March 29th, 2013. Cabinets, Floating Cabinet And Vanity Set For Every Home.
It is in trend to have floating cabinet and vanity set in the bathroom. The need of it emerges in modern designs that require simplicity design. Floating design means having more space for enough leg room to the bath room. These designs not only apply to small bathroom, but also in bigger bathroom. My favorite design is the one with the floating sink cabinet with dark brown wood accent. The floating cabinets only have 3 drawers but the counter top length is longer than the drawer. On the other side of counter top is mounted white simple oval sink. Beneath the sink is just plain clear room. It gives more space feelings to the room. This sink and cabinet is very ergonomic, only made to useful purpose, but with stylish design.
Small bathroom apply this floating concept very well. Grey dominated color bathroom with minimalist accent and decoration in a modern loft have this concept. The bathroom is small, only have a regular bath tub. Next to the tub is a simple sleek double door dark wood cabinet elevate a little from the floor and combining with floating sink above it make the bathroom feel airy. Another contemporary bathroom with simple design is this sink that floating in a supposedly a countertop of a cabinet. But actually the cabinet it self is separated beneath the sink. The cabinet is also floating off the floor.
Not only dark color room that need to elevate the sink and vanity to give illustration of space. In this Japanese color theme of light grain wood also applying this concept although not entirely. One leg of the vanity set is still pointed to the floor. But the space is still remaining at the bottom of the vanity set and gives bigger room extension. Any other bathroom theme that has bright color also can apply this concept and be sophisticated.
There are several little considerations to the floating concept. Since it is floating, so you must consider placing the sink or vanity or cabinet in to the wall perfectly. The wall needs to support the weight of it especially if the cabinet or vanity is loaded with stuff. Other consideration that is very important is about the placing of the floating cabinet or vanity. It must precisely parallel with the ground below, otherwise, if it a little aslant then it would be a disaster.Classic Floating Sink And Cabinet Design Perfect For Modern Apartments
