March 28th, 2013. Study Room Designs, Creative Room Ideas, Applying Magnificent Wooden Theme.
I always love it when I could see people with creative room ideas come to my desk. As an interior designer, people often come to me to ask some advice for their room. Some of them come empty handed, and some of them come with lots of wild idea in their heads. It is my job to help them make their dreams come true. Every room in the house has their own functions, therefore we have to make sure that the design we make could suit the function as well.
I ever helped a boy in early junior high school to remake the bedroom. He wanted something that is mature but childish in the same time. After doing lots of discussions we finally came into conclusion to use outbound theme. There was a big tree painting in the wall. We put two little wooden huts in two corners of the room. Between those two frame houses we put a wooden bridge, like the one you could find in the jungle.
We made the houses a little bit higher so that below the houses we could put the bed there. In another side of the wall, we also put a board painting with words written on it: no girls allowed!!! It was totally boy typically room. That was the entire boyish thing, and to balance the design with more mature thing, we put wooden desk and also wooden chair in front of the window. We chose the one with formal design so the grown-up feeling could be grabbed for sure.
Talking about wood, I myself always love the way wood could come into the pattern prettily. A boss ever asked me to design his creative staff workplace into something comfortable and unique. Therefore, I used wood planks as installments. From the ceiling, the planks were arranged so it was looked like they were flowing to the floor through one side of the wall. And in the end, it was one of the masterpieces.Antique Dramatic Bedroom Lighting
